Katrina to don a bikini in 'Dostana 2'

Katrina Kaif is going to overtake Priyanka Chopra in sex appeal. Priyanka Chopra had donned a golden bikini in Dostana, n now Katrina Kaif is all set to don a two piece in Dostana 2 that would have much more sex appeal than Priyanka did. Her swimwear will be designed by ace designer Manish Malhotra.

Katrina was last seen in a bikini in her debut film, ‘Boom’ and after that she almost stopped shedding her inhibitions. Manish will design her two-piece keeping into account her comfort level.

A source says, "‘Dostana 2’ plans to take the fun quotient to another level and also have a lot of sex appeal. Katrina has one of the best bodies in the industry and having her sport beach wear will be a huge attraction for the film.

"She hasn`t sported the sexy look for a while. In ‘Dostana 2’, she will be seen in clothes that make her look more sexy than cute." added the source.

Akshay Kumar replaces Salman Khan as the face of innerwear brand Dollar Club

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has replaced Salman Khan as the face of innerwear brand Dollar Club.

"Dollar Industries is tipped to spend up to Rs. 25 crore for the campaign in the next one year. The new commercials featuring Akshay Kumar are likely to hit the air in the first week of February," said Krishan Gupta, director of Dollar Industries Ltd, in a press statement.

Akshay says this will be his first endorsement in the knitted innerwear segment, and he's happy to be associated with thte brand because there is a perfect fit between him and the brand, reason being that the brand stands for style of the future generation and he has always been a style statement for younger generation.

The actor will soon be going abroad to shoot a TV commercial for the brand.

Aamir cracks a massive endorsement deal with telecom major Etisalat

Aamir Khan is on a roll. After the record breaking success of 3 Idiots, the news is out that this Bollywood superstar has been signed up as the brand ambassador for UAE's leading telecom company “Etisalat”, which will be launched in India soon.

The deal was reportedly cracked before the release of 3 Idiots at Rs 30-35 crore for a period of three years. Aamir has yet another feather in his hat on the addition of Etisalat along with Coca Cola, Tata Sky and Samsung to his endorsement list.

Etisalat has been the telecommunications service provider in the UAE since 1976.

55th-filmfare-awards-set-for-february-27

The 55th Annual Filmfare Awards ceremony will be held at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai on February 27, but the organisers have yet to decide who will host the prestigious event.

Last year Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan entertained the audiences with their rib-tickling one-liners, but Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillai is still uncertain about the hosts this year.

"Just hold your breath, wait and watch what's in store," said Pillai.

Organisers say this year they are not introducing any new award category.

"When we started, we had five categories of awards and now we have 37 categories in total. The growth has been remarkable. This year 111 movies are competing for the awards," Tarun Rai, CEO of Worldwide Media Pvt Ltd (a joint venture between the Times of India group and BBC Worldwide), said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Considered one of the most prestigious awards in Indian cinema, the awards function will be organised in association with pan-India mobile operator Idea Cellular.

The nominees for the awards will be chosen through audience poll. An equal weightage will be given to polling results as well as a specially appointed panel of judges.

This year, too, the ceremony will offer power-packed performances and a dose of suspense and excitement.

Shahrukh gets married again

This news may surprise you but it is partly true that Shahrukh Khan is married again and that too to a 20 yr old girl! Tillana Desai is a die-hard fan of King Khan. King Khan married her during the promotional event of his latest film, ‘My Name Is Khan’.

Dressed in a bridal outfit, the girl walked down to Shahrukh and narrated a story of how crazy she is about him. Impressed with her story, Shahrukh fulfilled the wish of the girl, he proposed her and slipped a ring on her finger that she had brought with her. It all happened at a five-star hotel in Ahmedabad in the witness of media and many fans of Shahrukh.

Confirms the source, "At his film’s event, SRK had to meet people with unusual love stories. Among the crowd, was 20-year-old Tillana Desai, who had come dressed in full bridal finery. When SRK asked her about her love story, she said she had been in love with a guy since she was seven but couldn’t marry him as he was already married.”

“When SRK asked her who the guy was, he was surprised to know that he was the man in question! She also said that she only uses the products that he endorses and refuses to buy anything else. The girl insisted that SRK should marry her. SRK used his million-dollar charm to overcome the awkwardness. The girl had even brought a ring with her. He went down on his knees and slipped the ring on her finger, saying that this is their rehearsal for the wedding.”

Moved by Shahrukh’s kind gesture, the girl invited him for a dinner to her house but he was too busy for the dinner.

Vivek Oberoi's uninvited entry - yet again!

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi seems to have taken a fancy to following star couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. He did it yet again Thursday evening when he made an unexpected late entry at the premiere of “Rann where Aishwarya and Abhishek were present for the Amitabh Bachchan starrer.

Vivek, who was linked with Aishwarya earlier, arrived hastily at the venue half an hour after the premiere had begun. A source told us “It’s strange to see Vivek here. We don’t know if he has been invited here or has come over just because he is in the capital for an event.” Vivek was reportedly an uninvited entry at Hrithik Roshan’s birthday bash early this month at Shah Rukh Khan’s house Mannat in Mumbai, where the Bachchan couple was present.
He was also spotted chatting with Big B and his wife Jaya at a recent awards function where Aishwarya and Abhishek were noticed sitting at a far distance.

ISHQIYA movie review

Get ready for ISHQIYA. It isn't the fluffy, candy floss, saccharine sweet story of lovers breaking into songs in mustard fields. In ISHQIYA, you just don't know what turn the story may take next. Not just the story, even the characters here are so impulsive and unpredictable.

You need to have a strong stomach to absorb ISHQIYA. It's high on drama, it's wild, it's real. But it's not dark, it's not sleazy, it's not crass. Set in Gorakhpur in North India, the film has a rustic feel, depicts characters that may make you uncomfortable and is laced with saucy lingo.

Two thieves, Khalujaan [Naseeruddin Shah] and Babban [Arshad Warsi], are on the run from their boss, Mushtaq. They seek refuge at a friend's house, but instead meet his widow, Krishna [Vidya Balan]. The time spent together draws the duo to her, Khalu with his tinted vision of old-fashioned love and Babban with his lustful eye. But the past catches up with all three!

Every actor in ISHQIYA delivers a sparkling performance! Naseeruddin Shah is superb as a romantic. Arshad packs in a bravo performance yet again. Post MUNNABHAI films, Arshad should be liked in this one the maximum. Vidya continues to surprise. It's a dynamic performance undoubtedly. PAA and ISHQIYA are two landmarks in her career.

On the whole, ISHQIYA is definitely worth a watch. The film has a riveting plot, great performances, soulful music, an absorbing story and skilful direction to make the viewer fall in ishq with it. It should appeal to the hardcore masses as also the multiplex junta.

Nana Patekar to direct second film with Deepika Padukone

Actor Nana Patekar says he will direct his second Hindi film soon and he has already finalised Deepika Padukone for the lead role.

"Yes, I am directing a film." Nana told reporters at the press meet of his first Kannada film, Yaksha, on Wednesday. "I have already written the script and have selected Deepika Padukone to play the lead role. I haven't yet finalised other artistes and technicians for the film. I am going to my native village in Maharashtra in a few days to make preparations for the film. I have not finalised the launch date of the film. But it will be worked out very soon." he added.

Nana wielded the megaphone for the first time for Prahaar that had Madhuri Dixit in the lead role. The actor, who will be seen in Prakash Jha's political thriller Rajneeti, also said: "I have not signed any new film after Rajneeti."

Nana has completed a 13-day shooting schedule of Yaksha, which is his second South-Indian film after Bommalattam. He played a possessive film director in the thriller that didn't score well at the box-office." This Kannada film features me in a special role." said Nana. Yaksha is being produced by Siddaraju and is directed by débutante director Ramesh Rao. Actor Yogeesh is playing the lead, while Ruby will be seen as his love interest. Chandrashekhar is the cameraman of the film while Manju Mandavya has written the dialogues.

Rani Mukherjee to become Rani Chopra

Get ready for another big Bollywood wedding as Rani Mukherjee finally gets approval and blessings from Aditya Chopra’s parents. Initially, Pamela Chopra was not in favour of Rani Mukherjee but at last Aditya has managed to change his mother's mind. Her anger died down and she has accepted her son’s choice.

Teen Patti's - Press Meet

Starring two of the greatest living acting legends of our times - czar of the Indian film industry, Amitabh Bachchan and Academy Award Winner Ben Kingsley will come together as a double treat for Leena Yadav's Teen Patti. The cast and crew of the film attended a press meet to release the first look of the film. 'Teen Patti' also stars R. Madhavan, Raima Sen, Saira Mohan and newcomers Siddharth Kher, Dhruv Ganesh, Vaibhav Talwar and Shraddha Kapoor.

Leena Yadav is on cloud 9 because of her second directorial venture 'Teen Patti' . In Teen Patti she got a chance to work with legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Sir Ben Kingsley. She calls them magicians and says the two don't overshadow each other at any point in the movie.

Set in India and Britain, the film is about greed, deception and imagination. Oscar-winning actor Kingsley plays world's greatest living mathematician Perci Trachtenberg, while Amitabh plays Venkat, a reclusive maths genius from India. The two meet at a high-rolling casino in London.

Releasing Feb 26, 2010 the film will have special appearances by Ajay Devgn, Jackie Shroff, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ranjeet, Shakti Kapoor and Tinnu Anand.

Shah Rukh Khan tries to bring Vivek, Abhishek closer

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has taken a bold step which may very rare dare to take. He has acted as a peacemaker between the two warring actors Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi. Abhi and Vivek almost stopped talking after Aishwarya dumped him and tied the knot with Abhishek Bachchan. Things went weird after Vivek made some stunning revelation about Ash at Farah Khan show, ‘Tere Mere Beech Main’. But now Shah Rukh Khan thought that they should end the truce and join hand. A source close to Vivek says, “Shah Rukh certainly did not want any of his guests to feel tense at his home. Besides, he had personally invited Abhishek, Aishwarya, Vivek and many others to Mannat, when they met at Hrithik’s birthday party in Juhu.”

Shah Rukh Khan helped the two gentlemen to erase the discomfort and created a lighter and friendly atmosphere between the two. The two actors after a while seemed comfortable at each other’s company.

Few days back, Vivek was also seen bridging the gap between him and the Bachchans by talking to Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan. The three got along very well.
