Sharks attack Akshay!

Akshay Kumar was almost eaten alive by 35 sharks in the Bahamas while shooting for ‘Blue’, an action adventure movie starring Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta. As promising as this sounds, the actor did come out of it more or less unharmed.

Here’s the interesting part; the reason why the stunt went wrong is because Akshay, a certified deep sea diver, hit his head against a shipwreck. So lets just trace the sequence of events, he’s swimming around, waving to the crew, wondering why he never gets a copy of the script and BAM!!!! - its a shipwreck. If only there was some sort of warning. Anyway, the cut on his head started to bleed underwater, hence the danger of attracting the sharks near-by. The shark-trainers, cast and crew did just about enough to ensure that Akshay gets out in one piece. Once safely ashore, Akshay, the daredevil that he is, laughed about it and called it a ‘minor mishap’. Compared to this movie, I’m sure it is.
