Wannabe Mallika-e-Hindustan!

Wannabe Mallika-e-Hindustan!!We wonder what the hell is wrong with the makers of ‘Maan Gaye Mughal-e-azam‘!! Is the movie supposed to be a remake of yesteryear’s classic ‘Mughal-e-azam‘, (starring Madhubala and Dilip Kumar) or a mockery??!! Who, in their right minds would cast an actress who knows nothing better than to play pranks on a movie set (Mallika Sherawat) to replace one of the most beautiful and renowned actresses (Madhubala) to ever have existed in the film industry..?? Unless the movie itself is meant to be a prank, just like the actors starring in it! Seems like all the fimmakers in the industry who are running out of original ideas for their movies are in a habit of casting Miss Sherawat who despite being endowed with a lot of ‘assets’;) is an actress as unoriginal as the movies itself!!

The original film re-tells a popular Indian tale, and is loosely based on an episode in the life of the Mughal prince Salim, (played by Dilip Kumar) who went on to become the emperor Jehangir, in which Madhubala who played the part of a court dancer was buried alive for falling in love with the prince. However in the new version Mallika Sherawat plays a delusional theatre actress who doubles up as a government agent. Yeah right!! We can easily see how stupid the the remake is, compared to the original… but aside from having a wannabe script, did the filmmakers also have to hire such a wannabe actress??? Haha. Apparently Miss Sherawat was so desperate to be like the original ‘Mallika-e-hindustan’ that she even pretended to be possessed by the ghost of the dead yesteryear actress whilst shooting for the film!! Or maybe the actress’ ghost was so infuriated at such a third grade choice to play her eternally classic role, that she wanted to scare her off the film!! Too bad the plan didn’tnt work, as the producers of the film seem to have pacified a rather ’shaken’ Mallika, by sending her on a trip to Paris to recover from the scare!! We half wish the ghost had followed her there too..:)

Another possibility is that by signing up for the film, Sherawat was trying to compete with the likes of actresses Aishwarya Rai, and Madhuri Dixit, as it seems she is greatly inspired by the success of the Devdas remake, (directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali), in which both the actresses starred. Grow up and get a life Mallika!! We all know that you cannot possibly compete with the likes of actresses more original than you, and who may not be as ‘blessed’ as you in other skills;), but are certainly blessed with better acting abilities than you. Or at the very least better brains to recognise a good script from a bad one when they see it!! And if you have already become unfortunate enough to not have a better choice of scripts, then high time you return to your family and village in Haryana and stop bugging us with your nonsense entertainment!! Simply wearng a silly Anarkali costume will not make you a ‘Mallika-e-hindustan’!! So good luck to both the makers of the film, and those unfortunate souls who will be watching it. May poor Madhubala’s ghost rest in peace!!
