Apoorva loses the ticket to Bollywood

Apoorva loses the ticket to BollywoodApoorva Lakhia has a history of working with legends but let’s face it, none of them have rubbed off on him, and his movies have not exactly been hits. After both EkAjnabee and Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost flopped and Mission Istanbul really never got anything done, he was slated to make a movie for Ekta Kapoor. The only female who has managed to make so much money from mindless soaps that she could make a few hundred really aimless flop movies and still have her entourage follow her to seek Ganesha’s blessings for the next one to make her brother click.

Everyone but Ekta knows that Tusshar could be the reason most of her movies flop, but she does know that a director with three flops has very little chance of getting anything right in the next one. So in a bid to keep Apoorva’s unlucky shadow out of her next movie, she has decided not to let him direct the movie.

The movie in question, Generation Next is going to feature the winners of a reality show called Kissko Milega Ticket To Bollywood, which by all the messed up spellings you can easily tell is another of Ektas attempts at reality television. Balaji Telefilms is producing the movie along with Suniel Shetty’s Popkorn Entertainment and a completely over the top budget of 70 crores.

Apoorva or not, this one does not look like it is going anywhere. Somehow I feel Apoorva’s lucky not to direct this one and put another flop to his list.
