Karisma scared of Kashmir

Karisma Kapoor has chickened out of her comeback flick, Lamha in which she was supposed to star with Sanjay Dutt. The reason for this act of cowardice is that she is scared of shooting in the Kashmir Valley. She had read the script which deals with issues the valley has been facing since independence, and liked it a lot. But when it came to actually doing it, she thought the place was too volatile to shoot in. Karisma perhaps thought the movie would be shot in the safe areas of Maharashtra and then Sanjay Dutt just by his mere presence would make it look like Kashmir. Well, this is not exactly what the director Rahul Dholakia thought.

The role was then bagged by Bipasha Basu, who has no apprehensions about shooting in the valley and doing the stunts she is required to do as a part of the script. One thing which strikes my mind now is that, Bipasha who is going to portray the character of a Kashmiri girl, does not look Kashmiri at all, but then again, when has that ever been a hassle with anyone. She is however, going to stay in the valley and get accustomed to the way a Kashmiri girl is to speak.
