Colors of India

Anyone who watches Vh1 would notice that these weird tourism type advertisements introducing a new Hindi general entertainment channel from Viacom 18 called Colors.

Now i know nothing about TV programming or anything of the likes but even I wonder what possible genre Colors could be especially since the only promos I’ve been continuously seeing are of Akshay Kumar’s show.So with a hoard of Indian celebrities who incidentally keep popping up in the ads to promote Fear Factor: Khatron ke Khiladi. Other than that I don’t really know what to expect from Hindhi general enntertainment.

As the launch party pictures show a bevy of beauties showed up all participants of Fear Factor, I’m sure. Urvashi Sharma, Pooja Bedi, Aditi Gowitrikar and Vidya Malvade are some of Akshay Kumar’s celebrity participants although I’m a little disappointed the man himself didn’t show but then again with the Singh is Kinng release date a month away and a video with Snoop Dog yet to be shot I’m sure he has better things to do. Others present at the launch were all dressed in cultural day clothes. So now I’m really confused as to what Hindi general entertainment means. Hopefully not Saas-bahu serials with a couple of reality and game shows thrown in.
