Bandamonium

After the ten o’clock deadline and the bar dancers ban, i didn’t think the night life in Mumbai could get any worse. But Mayor Shubha Raul has stepped up to the plate and attempted to restore our youth to the glorius path of middle-class morality once again by banning all hookah parlours in the city. So why hookah of all things? Aren’t there more worthwhile things to ban like owning more than one car or all of Harman’s public appearances? We’ll here’s her explanation.

“Hookah parlours are gaining in popularity among college students. Today, they have flavours like strawberry, who knows, tomorrow harmful drugs like charas and ganja could be on offer. They should be banned “

So basically anything thats popular and flavoured could soon turn in a drug racket that’s consuming the youth. Yes..strawberry…ganja…I can see how that works. What next? Chewing gum? Condoms?

Anyway, most of the people who really enjoy smoking hookah have bought one. This ban will just urge kids to sit home and do it. But for all you parents out there, remember, what seems to be a harmless visit to Mapro Gardens may mark the beginning of a long and terrible drug habit. Check your child into the nearest Rehab Centre as soon as possible.
