Finally, one of the most anticipated movies of the year, Singh Is Kinng is here! Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif sizzle yet again on screen, and may be off-screen too, to produce another blockbuster. Picking up a clichéd and predictable storyline, Vipul Shah and Anees Bazmee come together to give you a full entertainment package of comedy, love triangles, gunshots, action, drama and an awesome star-cast. The film is a full entertainment package with great dialogues, amazing locations and of course, the sizzling pair of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif! The star-cast also includes Om Puri, Kirron Kher, Javed Jaffery, Neha Dhupia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Manoj Pahwa, Ranvir Shorey and many more. Other than the music which has been done well by our very own Xerox machine Pritam, Hard Kaur & Mika Singh have also made their presence felt by lending their voice box for a few songs! The picturisation of the song Teri Ore reminds one a lot of Suraj Hua Madhdham from Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham. You’ll expect the foreign country to be Canada… why you ask? Well, Canada has a very huge population of Sikhs, who have been there for decades. Australia on the other hand, seems an unlikely choice for the whole plot. Canada or no Canada, the film is bound to work well with all desis in India and around the world. Akshay Kumar yet again stands as the ultimate entertainer in Bollywood today and no one except Twinkle Khanna might have any problems with Akki’s sizzling partnership with Katrina Kaif, who by the way looks damn hot in the movie! If you haven’t booked your tickets by now, chances are you might not get them for some time. Remember to leave your brains home and go enjoy the film.
Singh is Kinng traces the story of an accident prone Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar), who finds himself in a soup of emotional responsibilities, love and crime. Travelling far from his village to Australia to fetch his cousin and crime ‘King’ - Lucky Singh, back home to his motherland. Happy bumps into Soniya (Katrina Kaif) in Egypt and falls in love. He later finds himself in Lucky’s shoes as the King, however, being ‘Happy’ Singh, he turns everyone around to lead a better life and go back to the village.
