Bachchan’s rake in the moolah while Ash is unwell

Looks like the Bachchans will have a mixed bag of emotions in the next few days. Aishwarya Rai, the bahu of the first family of Bollywood, is suffering from German measles (Rubella infection), a viral infection characterized by fever, swollen and painful lymph nodes, and a runny nose.

Aishwarya Rai’s manager Hari Singh has said that she will not be available for about 10 to 15 days for any promo or shooting as she is suffering from a bout of fever and is advised total rest. He confirmed that Aishwarya Rai has signed Robot and another production by Mani Ratnam, and also that she will be given a 2-month break from Shankar’s Robot when filming for Mani Ratnam’s film commences.
Bachchans rake in the moolah while Ash is unwell
The timing couldn’t be worse since Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya are all set to rake-in the moolah with the help of business tycoon Anil Ambani, who is also Big B’s friend, has signed an Rs 1500 crore deal with B- Town’s most popular family.Wow!! According to reports, Reliance Big Entertainment is close to finalizing the mega deal with the Bachchan’s and will then use their brand value in films, production, TV series, internet, reality shows and mobile content.
So what happens?

Well, each party will do what they do best. While, RBE will look at the business aspect of the deal that would include the managing marketing and the distribution of projects, the Bachchans would come up with the creative inputs and would be handling the entertainment aspect of the project.

For films, the company has signed some of the leading directors like R Balakrishnan, Sujoy Ghosh, Rohan Sippy and Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The list is sure to get bigger with time as the company is in talks to rope in several other top directors.Speaking to a news daily, Amitabh Bachchan said, “We will provide the creative inputs and also share the profits. As of now, we plan to start with film projects and work in a way that will benefit us mutually. Also, they have given us the liberty to work outside and there is an unwritten understanding that we have the first right of refusal.

The Bachchans have once again showed why they are the best and how they can flex their power.Lets hope it’s not a Sarkar Raaj debacle.
