Raju Hirani nets SRK for his next

Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s protege and the famous director of Munnabhai series that wooed audiences of all ages is getting started on it’s third installment ‘Munnabhai Chale Amerika’. Very few of us know that Shah Rukh Khan was his first choice for this series but alas things did not work out and Sanju baba stole the show. Finally, Hirani seems to have managed to lay his hands on SRK for his next movie. This movie with SRK is an adaptation of the famous book ‘Five Point Someone’ by Chetan Bhagat.

The book talks about youngsters studying at IIT who find it difficult to keep up with the pressures. SRK definitely can NOT pull off a college kid. Keeping his age into consideration Hirani is re-working on the script of the movie. The old man could just about play the principal of IIT. That would suit his age well. BTW, the author’s other two books- One Night at the Call Centre and Three Mistakes of My Life are also being made into movies.

As for Hirani, I’m waiting with bated breath to catch his next comic caper.After Bhaigiri and Gandhigiri, wonder what new giri he’ll start next.
