‘Rock on’ coming soon to a city near you

Abhishek Kapoor, the director of ‘Rock On‘, is in the process of organizing a series of rock concerts in four major cities across India as part of the promotional campaign for the movie. What makes it interesting, and not just another glares and black tee, lip-syncing disaster is the fact that the actors, Farhan Ahktar, Luke Kenny, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Prachi Desai have been practicing and will actually be performing the songs from the movie.

Jhankar beats was such a horrid display of lip synching and air guitar playing Rock on is definitely going to be worth a dekkho.

Farhan has sung five out of nine songs for the movie, and will also be playing the guitar for the live shows. I wonder if this new kind of campaigning will catch on; imagine the possibilities- Priyanka and Harman robo-grinding at Infinity Mall for Love Story 2050, Ram Gopal Verma roaming the streets at the night, scaring children, Rani and her cycle, suspended for days without food of water above Phoenix Mills or Aamir Khan with a cattle prod, hard-selling Imran at Juhu Beach.
