Ram Gopal Varma is one tireless fellow. He comes up with a masterpiece like Sarkar Raj and before the rave reviews come in, he starts work on his next few projects.
Ramu is now working on a movie with Ekta Kapoor ( who he has a crush on… teeheehee), scripting out Sarkar 3 and working on his next big scare flick- Phoonk.
Coming Soon from the dungeons of the RGV camp, Phoonk is yet another dark shot of horror. After the success of Bhoot in 2003, RGV went on making films like Darna Mana Hai, Darna Zaroori Hai , etc. which just became an embarrassment to his presence in the horror genre.Ramu is pretty sure, that this time, Phoonk will “seep into you and plagues your entire belief system” which normally happens when one sits to watch a film by RGV productions! LOL !
But then again, it’s really great that filmmakers like him try to work out of the box and not make the dime-a-dozen formula films like the Chopras or the Johars. Some of his stuff is pukeworthy-like Aag or James, but then he also has cult films like Satya, Shiva and Rangeela in his kitty. Lets see how this gamble pays- Phoonk is ready to release in August.
I just saw the trailer for Phoonk and am pretty bloody excited! It has all the typical RGV elements- bizarre camera work, a hard-hitting background score, edge of the seat spooks, a build up of suspense and all that jazz….
